Ilknur Koçer is a comic artist and illustrator from near Kassel, Germany, with Turkish roots. Her artistic focus lies in narrative illustration, exploring themes such as migration, cultural identity, feminism, and racism. She studied Visual Communication with a specialization in comics and illustration at Kunsthochschule Kassel and spent a year as an Erasmus student at Sint-Lucas University in Brussels.
Her creative work often blends personal and historical perspectives. She has published comics such as Du nix verstehen?!, a reflection on migrant experiences in Germany, and co-created a comic biography of Liesel Carlebach in collaboration with the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek.
Ilknur is a founding member of the artist collective Die Goldene Discofaust, with whom she has realized various projects and exhibitions. She is also a member of the Comic Union and continues to work at the intersection of personal storytelling and socio-political commentary through the medium of comics.
